Angela - a procrastinating, suicidal relationship counsellor - eventually manages to throw herself off a building after finding her boyfriend in bed with another woman. But instead of killing herself she injures Dave – a straightforward, honest ethical banker. Only after saving Dave’s life and realising that her own life isn’t as bad as she thought, does Angela meet Orthon - an inept trainee demon - and discover that she is supposed to be dead. She is supposed to be going to hell. Angela’s only hope of staying on earth is to claim that, even though they have only just met and he has been unconscious for almost all of their time together, she and Dave have fallen in love and are therefore eligible for a ‘Love Supreme Exemption’. ‘A Love Supreme’ is a black romantic comedy about love and death and gravity - heaven and hell and exhilarating leaps in the dark.
